 Covid-19 Updates 2022 As of October 16, 2021, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Aruba is 15,702 with the related death toll now standing at 170. In response to the virus, 70.91% of Aruba’s population has been fully vaccinated to date. Travel to Aruba is now open to most countries. Travel from Brazil, India, and South Africa is allowed once again. Travel from Venezuela is still not permitted since prior to the pandemics. To keep visitors and locals safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, Aruba has introduced the ‘Aruba Health & Happiness Code,’ a stringent cleaning and hygiene certification program mandatory for all tourism-related businesses. Vaccine Accepted and open to all Countries

Effective February 3rd, 2022, Aruba will accept certain vaccine certificates, and will be open to all countries.

JAN 18, 2022 Antigen tests accepted

Effective January 18th, 2022, Aruba adds Antigen tests as a valid option for entry.

The Government of Aruba together with the Department of Public Health continuously monitors the situation based on a range of factors and epidemiological indicators to assess risk levels. This information is subject to change at the discretion of the Government of Aruba.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

  • Test Report: One of the new requirements put in place for visitors to be admitted to Aruba is the mandatory valid PCR COVID-19 negative test. The test needs to be administered within 3 days and 12 hours before your direct departure flight to Aruba.

Aruba Visitors Insurance Covers

Medical Expenses: All medically necessary expenses to treat COVID-19, including doctor consults, medicines, hospital admissions, intensive care unit costs, specialist fees, x-rays, lab expenses, and nursing costs. Isolation costs: Government imposed Isolation costs for patients who test positive for COVID-19, including medically necessary doctor consults and follow-up tests during the isolation period. Other related expenses: On-island transportation of COVID-19 patients and ambulance costs for those in critical condition. Maximum Limit: The overall maximum limit for all benefits combined is US $75,000. Travel Information: the travel dates airlines and the hotel accommodation purchase the Aruba Visitors Insurance and/or prepay PCR COVID-19.

Travel Updates

Airlines:  In order to recover the tourism industry, airlines are now opening up for additional flights for the upcoming winter season. We are excited for the extra flights that would be scheduled as follows:

  • Between December 15th, 2021 – January 12th, 2022, there will be an extra flight on Monday and Wednesday.
  •  An extra flight on Sunday, December 26th, 2021, and between December 17th, 2021 – January 14th, 2022 there is an extra Friday flight scheduled.
