Trinidad & Tobago Carnival
Trinidad hosts one of the top 9 Caribbean carnival destinations known as the biggest street party on the planet, where the visitors are welcome to join in the fun, dressed with costumes, and dance to mas music along the streets of Port-of-Spain, the capital city of the island.
On the sister island Tobago are being organized similar Carnival celebrations. The celebrations often end at Pigeon Point Beach and Maracas Beach, where the dancers can relax. The celebrations start after Christmas and go on until Ash Wednesday.
The Carnival begins on Monday with J’Ouvert at 4am, with a parade, followed by a second day with thousands of masqueraders in colourful costumes, who dance through the parade under the sounds of steelpan, soca, and calypso music.
