Public Transportation:

Antigua has a decent network of private minivans traveling along the main roads. Buses to the south, northwest, and west leave from the West bus station opposite the Public Market in St John’s; buses to the northeast, the east, and southeast leave from the East bus station on Independence Ave.

Accessibility:

Generally speaking, Antigua and Barbuda are not very progressive when it comes to meeting the needs of the disabled. The big resorts usually have rooms has facilities for wheelchair

History: Antigua was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493. Antigua was a potential for sugar plantation due to which it has been colonized. From 1640-1698 Antigua was conquered by Britishers with slavery.  After a long struggle for independence, in 1968 Antigua became an associated state of the Commonwealth. Later in 1981, it was disassociated from Britain.
