Barbados has started a new summer campaign that offers discounts of up to 55 percent on hotels, attractions, car rentals, and restaurants, thanks to the relaxation of limitations and the reopening of borders. Visitors may choose from a variety of lodging options, including luxury hotels on the beach, bed-and-breakfast establishments, and private villas tucked in lush gardens.

Adventurers may take part in all of the activities and learn about its mysteries. Barbados provides something for every type of tourist to immerse themselves in Barbadian culture, whether it’s bicycling through hidden paths on the East Coast or having a fresh fish meal at a beach bar with the whole family.

Visitors may book their savings directly at www.barbadossummersavings.com between March 7 and August 31, 2022, for travel between April 21 and October 31, 2022, to enjoy all of these Barbados adventures and more. The destination has also established cooperation with Book Barbados, a new local online travel agency, to make bookings for the summer campaign easier. This approach coincides with the destination’s increased focus on collaborating with local companies and private sector partners.

In addition, after a two-year break, the island’s major annual celebration may return this summer. The most popular, colorful, and anticipated festival is the Crop Over Festival.

From dawn to evening, costumed revelers may be seen parading around the streets, and if you’re fortunate, you could get a glimpse of one of the numerous celebrities known to visit the island during this time, such as Sir Lewis Hamilton, Jordan Dunn, and Rihanna.

For the first time in two years, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley declared that Barbados will have a modified Crop Over in 2022. Visitors and Barbadians alike will be able to enjoy the festival safely this year, according to the prime minister’s announcement that Grand Kadooment and ForeDay Morning would be staged in a new fashion.

This summer, getting to Barbados has been even easier, thanks to the acceptance of quick antigen testing for admission into the island. Furthermore, for fully vaccinated passengers with verified negative tests, there is no quarantine period. The quick tests are offered in main source markets, and results are usually ready within an hour.

To enter Barbados, rapid antigen testing must be done by a healthcare practitioner no more than one day before arrival. COVID PCR tests taken no more than three days before arrival in Barbados are also on the list of acceptable tests for entrance into the nation, along with fast antigen testing.

Travel Procedure in Barbados

The government has announced a number of changes to its travel procedures that would make it simpler for visitors to enter the nation. Visitors to the Caribbean country now have additional alternatives thanks to the adoption of quick antigen testing for entrance, which must be conducted by a healthcare practitioner no later than one day before arrival.

Rapid antigen testing is commonly available in Barbados’ key source markets, according to the government, and results are often back within one hour. The list of permitted tests for entrance to Barbados now includes rapid antigen testing. COVID-19 PCR tests taken no more than three days previous to arriving in Barbados are also accepted.

Passengers traveling through Barbados will also not be required to produce test results in order to do so. Travelers may see improvements at Grantley Adams International Airport as well. All paper forms that were previously provided onboard incoming planes in Barbados will be phased out. Travelers will also be allowed to use the main arrivals hall again, rather than the temporary Gate 14-16 arrivals hall that was previously put up to oversee port health entrance inspections and testing during the epidemic.
