St.Eustatius is tourism is mainly on the Lime and Dine, the sports and the natural parks. There are very important nesting sites for several endangered sea turtles such as the green turtle, leatherback, loggerhead, and hawksbill.

Water Activities:

Windsurfing or waterskiing is the watersport that is well catered for on the island. Enjoy the island's superb scuba-diving opportunities. Many wrecks filled with marine life lie on the black sand amid coral reefs and near the submerged old port just off Oranjestad.

Car Rentals: 

With a valid foreign or international driving licence, you are allowed to drive a car on Statia. You can choose from at least thirteen rental companies. For information inquire at your hotel or the Tourist Information Stand at the Airport.


Bike & Scooter Rentals: 

Bike and gear rentals available along with biking route maps

Public Transportation:

No rail network or public buses exist on St Eustatius. Sometimes private vehicles act as small buses for workers on fixed routes on the island, but the main way of getting around for visitors is by taxi or rental car. 



It is under development as it is a small economy.


Getting There:


By air: Statia can be reached by a short flight from the international airport of St. Maarten, just a 20-minute flight with Winair and Trans Anguilla Airways

By Sea: Island can be reached by Cruise and boats/Ferries from St.Maarten
