Food is an important part of any journey. It’s not the thing that everyone plans for before, but have to look for during the trip. So we decided to find the best restaurants in Harbour Island and found 5 such restaurants.
Going to Harbour Island can be more than just fun, but also a culinary expedition. Briland has a wide array of foodie hotspots to explore and dive into.
Here are the best places to dine in Harbour Island
1.Rock House
Rock House tops our list of restaurants in Harbour island. This hotel dining area stays true to the entire vibrancy of the island with a colonial-style interior, designed by J. Wallace Tutt. You can sit down on the alfresco poolside dining area overlooking the ocean, under the towering palm trees. And for the important part, ideal order: be sure to dive into the famous Bahamian Lobster Tail and down it all with the signature Goombay Smash.
2.the landing harbour island
Next on our list of restaurants which leaves you wanting more is the landing harbour island. Adorned with red walls and uneven wood flooring dating back to the 1800s, this guesthouse restaurant is a must see.
Chef Ken‘s menu is ever changing, so you may be in for some surprises, but be sure to try the Goat Cheese Ravioli.
3.Sip Sip
Contrary to the name, there is more to this foodie spot than just gossip, (in Briland “Sip Sip” denotes to gossip), though they operate from 11AM to 5PM, one menu pick from Chef Julie’s integrate menu and you will be eating lunch here every day. One ideal pick that you cannot miss is Boil Fish served with grits and some Johnny cakes.
4.Queen Conch
You cannot go the Bahamas and not try the famed conch. And there is no better place to try the conch than Queen Conch. This place is an island hotspot, so you might want to arrive a bit early. Once you get there, sit back and enjoy a perfect sunset snack.
5.Ma Ruby’s Restaurant
Last but not least on our list of restaurants in Harbour island is Ma Ruby’s. Ma Ruby’s is the perfect dining spot for American flavors with an island twist.
Of course not missing out on the cheeseburgers. Her famous cheeseburgers have even made a debut on Jimmy Buffet’s Parrot Head Hand Book. With Jimmy himself making some rounds whenever in the Caribbean just for the burgers. So our ideal try is obvious.
